Bonita Chow
Audiologist
Bonita is a Registered Clinical Audiologist and the founder of Tinnitus and Hearing Health Calgary who has dedicated over a decade improving quality of life through better hearing health.
The past...
Since 2006, she has been helping Calgarians with hearing loss, tinnitus, and sound tolerance issues. Her unique background includes lending her expertise to a leading hearing aid manufacturer who has developed their own proprietary tinnitus management signal and protocol. With them, she applied her high standards of quality in training and supporting other hearing healthcare professionals across Canada so that they, too, can provide the best quality of care for their clients.
The present…
She applies the secrets of the hearing aid industry and her extensive experience to bring a fresh, innovative approach to hearing healthcare that doesn’t rely on cookie-cutter solutions. To ensure that she can draw from a breadth of clinically-proven tools to help her clients, Bonita is the first Audiologist in Canada to have completed Dr. Richard Tyler’s Tinnitus Care Provider program and is one of the very few Audiologists in Canada trained in multiple tinnitus treatment disciplines, including:
- Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (Drs. Pawel and Margaret Jastreboff)
- Progressive Tinnitus Management (Dr. James Henry)
- Widex Zen Therapy (Widex and Dr. Robert Sweetow)
- Tinnitus Activities Treatment (Dr. Richard Tyler)
A proponent of evidence-based practice, Bonita conducts all tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia assessment and treatment services according to the 2014 Clinical Practice Guideline for Tinnitus established by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
